A Parent's Review of Waka Waka KL


Waka Waka KL boasts over 10,000 square feet of play space for little ones to unleash their energy and imagination. Located at the heart of the city, within the premise of Furama Hotel in Bukit Bintang, it's easily accessible via public transport.


This indoor playground is medieval themed and is designed for children aged 18 months to 12 years old. The play land is huge and brightly lit and decorated with colourful kingdoms.


Children and adults entering the play area are required to wear socks for hygiene purposes.



Layout


At the entrance, a unique carriage in red welcome the visitors. It is a family favourite spot for photo sessions.


In the inside, The playland is divided into three play areas, each caters for different age groups.


There is a section specially designed for children below 3 years old. Children can enjoy playing with soft blocks and play pens that stimulate various aspects of learning. There are also slides, swings and wall mounted Montessori toys to train their fine motor skills. The area is padded well with foam pieces.


There's another section with various toy houses where children can spend their time exploring these playhouses and playing peek-a-boo.


For children aged 4 and above, there's a separate section that offers more challenging play activities. Children can explore climbing the walls of tall castles, scaling active volcanoes and sliding down fun slides.


There are slides with multiple lanes that makes it more competitive and fun for children as they race among each other. There is also flying fox for more adventurous kids.



Facilities


The playground also has an in house café that serves variety of finger food and drinks to keep the whole family happy.


The restroom is completed with child friendly potty and sink. Bathroom slippers are also available for both kids and adults to use.


The nursing room is equipped with a clean changing area, sink and hot water dispenser.



Operation Hours


Waka Waka Playland Operation hours are from 10 am to 7 pm on weekdays.


On weekends, public and school holiday, it is extended until 8 pm giving children more time for play.



Cost


The entrance fees during weekdays:

  • Children Below 90cm RM20

  • Children Above 90 cm RM25


The entrance fees during weekends, school holiday and public holidays:

  • Children Below 90cm RM35

  • Children Above 90 cm RM45


Parents can opt for packages that are more value for money. There are 3 different packages that gives extra perks and benefits such as but not limited to:

  • Unlimited playtime

  • 10% discount when dining at Royal Dining Hall

  • Free carpark

  • Free entrance during birthday month.


Waka Waka KL also offers party packages that include two hours use of the party room, unlimited playtime, decorations, a gift for the birthday child and a choice of five food items for the affordable amount of RM500 with minimum 10 children. Additional children costs RM20 each.



Getting There


The nearest train station will be Imbi Monorail Station, approximately 15 minutes of walk. Alternatively, one can opt to take a taxi or grab from Imbi Monorail Station.


For those driving, there are ample of parking spaces available at the Furama Hotel Basement Parking.



Waka Waka is an ideal place for parents to keep their children busy.
