You are pregnant and there is going to be a baby soon.
It's mysterious, magical, sometimes overwhelming. Whether this is your first child. Or you have been there before...
How Can We Help?
We know the kinds of questions you're asking:
Which doctor should I go to?
Are there any "pantang" (superstitions)?
What brand of car seat? Diapers? Massage oil? Confinement center?
... and the list goes on.
Whatever you're going through, know that you don't have to go through it alone. A community of mothers/parents is the best place to get practical advice, feedback and support. Where no question is too basic, where everyone has gone through the same feelings of being overwhelmed. Welcome to the Tribe!

What are IBU Playgroups? We work with our generous partners and sponsors to offer playgroups at different venues around Kuala Lumpur and the Klang Valley. We also offer coffee mornings for parents, art and craft sessions, sensory play, gymnastics, outdoor nature play, mommy exercise sessions. All our activities offer your child a chance for free play, for parents to interact with each other and meet what can become your support group in this parenting world. Our activities are supported by our fantastic volunteers. For more information, go to our LIVE calendar at www.ibufamily.org/calendar, where you will find fixed dates and locations for our activities such as playgroups and support groups.
How old must the child be?Most playgroups are open to children aged 0-5 years and are held 7 days per week at various locations. Certain playgroups may have age restrictions, so please check with us if you're unsure.
How much does it cost? Please refer to the individual playgroups / support groups in our IBU Calendar (www.ibufamily.org/calendar) for pricing and walk-ins / pre-registration information.
Does it require parental involvement?Yes – children attend playgroup with either a parent or their main carer (if both parents are working). Playgroups are run by IBU parent volunteers who coordinate activities for each playgroup. This is not a drop-off centre and children must be supervised by a carer at all times.
