Taman Tasik Titiwangsa: Nature's Oasis

Another free option available! Embrace the tranquility at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa, a popular choice among city dwellers. Although the splash park itself is free, the changing room would require a very small fee.

While the splash park welcomes families from 7.00am – 12.00pm, the surrounding areas offer an array of activities like kayaking and biking. Do keep a lookout as there are frequent events/ pop-ups hosted in the area.

United Point Mall: Where Joy Knows No Bounds

United Point Mall has an impressive outdoor play area that is entirely free, in the middle of the shopping centre suitable for toddlers, kids, and even young adults.

Splash around the inviting spash zone within the play area. Should be enough to soak the

clothes under the sun but your kids won’t be able to swim in it. Operating from 10.00am – 10.00pm, this hidden gem ensures a relaxed family outing without the crowds.


Taman Pudu Ulu Public Pool: A Family Affair

Taman Pudu Ulu beckons families with its sprawling park, jogging paths, an inviting playground area. A well maintained public pool invites kids to take a dip, enjoy a picnic, and cool off after exploring the park. The park operates from 6.30am to 10.00pm, it provides ample time for a day with the family.


Penang's Water Wonderland

Taman Tema MBSP: Where Joy Meets Affordability

Located in Bukit Mertajam, Taman Tema MBSP features several pools catering to different age groups, from babies, toddlers to pools with 2 small slides. With a pocket friendly ticket price of only RM1 for kids under 12 years, families can make a splash between 4.00pm – 7.00pm most days (Saturday and Sunday between 9.00am – 1.00pm.)

Parents are advised to bring food to the area as it might be a bit difficult to find eateries near the area. It would be a great opportunity to do a picnic spread!


City Park: Nature's Playground

The expansive City Park in Penang offers a blend of recreational activities, including an inviting swimming pool suitable for both kids and young adults. While exploring the park's multiple playgrounds and skateboarding areas, the park also offers different hiking trails and biking trails. Remember to keep an eye out for curious monkeys.


The entrance is absolutely free and is opened daily from 6.00am – 5.30pm (Closes at 7.00pm on weekends).
