We work with our generous partners and sponsors to offer playgroups at different venues around Kuala Lumpur and the Klang Valley. We also offer coffee mornings for parents, art and craft sessions, sensory play, gymnastics, outdoor nature play, mommy exercise sessions. All our activities offer your child a chance for free play, for parents to interact with each other and meet what can become your support group in this parenting world. Our activities are supported by our fantastic volunteers. For more information, go to our LIVE calendar at www.ibufamily.org/calendar, where you will find fixed dates and locations for our activities such as playgroups and support groups.
  • How old must the child be?
Most playgroups are open to children aged 0-5 years and are held 7 days per week at various locations. Certain playgroups may have age restrictions, so please check with us if you're unsure.

Our Story

IBU was started in 1989 by Cathie Thompson and Lesley Turner who were passionate about supporting new parents and families in the Klang Valley. Since then, IBU has remained a not-for-profit volunteer organisation that's run by moms, for moms.
