About the event

**IBU Members & IBU Volunteers Exclusive**

Join us for a fun trip to Zoo Negara Malaysia, in a very special outing that brings together 10 refugee families and 10 families from our IBU community to learn, play and connect with each other. We look forward to a day of meeting new people and making new friends, while exploring the wonders of wildlife. See you there!

IBU is collaborating with Asylum Access Malaysia (AAM) for this meaningful trip. We believe that this will go towards building a more inclusive, compassionate, and connected society, while teaching our children the crucial values of empathy and community spirit. You'll also be making a difference in the lives of those who have faced extraordinary challenges.

This is an exclusive event open to 10 IBU Members or IBU Volunteers and tickets are FREE for you and your child - first come, first served.

You are welcome to bring along additional adults and children, but tickets must be purchased at your own cost over the counter on the day, or online at https://ticket.zoonegara.my/.

About Asylum Access Malaysia:  AAM is a locally-registered non-profit organization dedicated to making human rights a reality for refugees. Established in 2014, AAM provides legal empowerment programming to refugees and asylum seekers in Malaysia. AAM's refugee legal aid program assists refugees and asylum seekers to successfully navigate the UNHCR Refugee Status Determination (RSD) process, thereby improving their chances of living safely and moving freely in Malaysia. They also offer Community Legal Empowerment and Protection workshops to provide basic legal and practical information to help refugees navigate the RSD process and avail themselves of other legal protections that may prevent detention, and help them acclimatize to life in Malaysia. AAM also engages in capacity building activities with lawyers, universities and civil society organizations to develop a refugee legal aid network in Malaysia.
