IBU Workshop: Become A Young First Aider 🚑

Get your children prepared to handle a variety of emergency scenarios! Join us for this value-packed family first aid workshop hosted by Concord College International School this February 3rd, 2024. Psst, they'll also get to enjoy an ambulance ride as part of the whole experience. 🚑 See you there! 

Targeted at kids aged 5 to 10 years old, the workshop will teach them (and you!) essential first aid skills to deal with situations including: 

- Bleeding and wounds

- Burns and scalds

- Choking

- CPR

As this is a family first aid workshop, the children must be parent/guardian-accompanied. This will ensure their safety, help you support them through their learning journey, as well as educate yourself about essential first aid skills needed for emergencies involving children. (Max ratio: One child to one adult). 

Fee: RM50/child (IBU members: RM40/child). Every ticket includes a first aid kit to bring home. 

More information: 

- The workshop will be facilitated by trained medical professionals and emergency responders. 

- It will be led by Trainer Alexander Lai Shun Yen, the founder of S&J Health Services. 

- He holds various credentials, including certifications in basic life support, advanced cardiac life support, and advanced medical life support. 

- He is also a Ministry of Health-registered Advanced Care Responder in Pre Hospital Care & Ambulance Service.
