IBU Art & Crafts Day 2023 is here! We've lined up some awesome activity partners, who have planned super fun and creative art and craft activities for your kids. Your kids are going to love exercising their creativity whilst boosting their fine motor skills as they carefully create their masterpieces. Think making a sand art candle, Pom-Pom keychains,  designing your own T-shirt with stencils, assembling a Tuk-tuk, DIY bath bombs, designing your own pancake art, and more. See you there! 😍

Venue: KitaKids KLCC

Time: Morning session (10am - 1pm), Lunch break (1pm - 1.45pm), Afternoon session (2pm - 5pm)

There are a total of 11 activities on Art & Crafts Day. Each activity will take approx 40mins to one hour to complete. They are suitable for 3-12 yr olds unless specifically stated. 

Our Activity line up:

LUXE:

1. Pom Pom Keychain Workshop by Pom Mom Co (recommended for 6-12 yr olds)

Create your own pom pom key chain with swirls, patches, and confetti designs, florals, hearts, or smileys. If time permits, we will also make beautiful tassels for the keychain. Take home your creation and an additional pom pom making craft kit for FREE!

2. DIY Tuk Tuk (assembly & decoration) by PlanToys Malaysia

Assemble a Tuk Tuk with wooden loose parts, then draw, paint and decorate your creation with googly eyes, and Crayola washable paint and colours!

PREMIUM:

1. Hand stitching name on tea towel by XTALSEW Design (recommended for 6-12 yr olds)

Your child will draw their name or a simple design onto a hand towel and then hand stitch their design in the thread colour of their choice. Lesson in stitching fully provided and valuable life skill lesson learned!

2. Design your own T-shirt by CreaTee

Design your own t-shirt using stencils, paints, additional batik fabric, googly eyes and more! Bring home the t-shirt and any leftover materials from your kit to make even more t-shirts at home!

3. Make your own walking Minion with light air dry clay by Malaysia Clay Art (recommended for 6-12 yr olds)

Create your own walking minion with air dry clay in our fun workshop! Learn molding techniques and add fun details on a walking mechanism. No experience needed, just come ready to have fun and get creative!

4. Canvas Painting OR Slime making workshop by Private Art Lessons KL

[Canvas painting] Have fun exploring your inner Van Gogh with step-by-step acrylic painting on canvas. There will be a different picture for every slot. [Slime making] Get a step-by-step demonstration on how to make 4 different types of slime! We will experiment with texture, colour and effects to make basic, floam, crunchy, and butter slime. (Canvas painting slots: 10AM & 3PM. Slime making slots: 11AM, 12PM, 2PM & 4PM - slots allocated on a first come first served basis)

5. DIY Bath Bombs by LaxyJoy (recommended for 6-12 yr olds)

Bath bombs sizzle and fizz when you drop them in water! Make bath time fun with fizzles, sizzles, scents and colours. Participants will choose their favourite fruity scents and two colours to make two of their own bath bombs. All ingredients are food & cosmetic grade.

6. Make a Rainbow Pasta Mobile by Our Play Diary Store

Glue and thread to create your own Rainbow Mobile! Participants will stick on fluffy cotton clouds and thread on rainbow-coloured pasta to create a super cute hanging mobile for their room. Great for motor skills and imagination - the rainbow pasta is made with food-grade ingredients. (Bonus: DIY pasta bracelet, time permitting)

7. Sand art candle workshop for kids by Kléo Scents Lab (recommended for 6-12 yr olds)

Use natural plant wax (in bead form resembling sand) to create art and a candle in the process - no melting needed. The wax is infused with the colours & scent of your choice. Ready to be lit anytime after arranging the wax just the way your little artist likes it!

8. Drip paint bear keychain & DIY cream glue accessory by Do Your Craft DIY

Create your own drip bear keychain using your favourite colours and patterns! Next, choose an accessory (hair clip/comb), your favourite cream gel colour and the decorations to stick on it. Cute and functional, your kid will be able to show off their keychain artwork on their school bag, as well as use the hairclip for their hair.  (Choose amongst 4 options: (1. 6pcs DIY cream glue hairclip 2. Bear keychain + 2pcs DIY cream glue hairclip 3. Bear keychain x2 4. DIY cream glue comb))

9. Make your own pancake art by XOXO

The process is 100% in your child's hands from creation to eating their art. Draw and design using coloured pancake batter - let their imagination run wild - we will then cook it and your child can enjoy eating their creation!

So many options, so much fun! But we haven't forgotten the wee young ones (walking toddlers to 3-yr olds) - we also have fun sensory play partners to keep them engaged and happy 😍

Messy Play with Play0Clock - indulge in all the mess with rainbow and vehicle-themed sensory play! (Fee: RM20 for IBU members (RM30 for non-members) per 20min session - pay on cash basis).

Taste-safe Playdough with What's For Fun - let little fingers enjoy squishy fun with the colourful, non-sticky playdough! Go wild with playdough tools, play mats and cutters (Fee: RM20 for IBU members (RM30 for non-members) per 20min session - pay on cash basis).

Our venue sponsor, KitaKids will also be providing a fun and easy pressed flower bookmark activity for kids, which is free of charge.

Fee: 

- IBU members enjoy 50% off the ticket prices. Remember to log into your account first before you check out your shopping cart. ☺️

- We have two different activity classes, Luxe and Premium. Both contain high-value activities, but Luxe has higher material costs due to the nature of the activity. 

- Once you have purchased tickets, you'll be given a link to book your preferred time and activity slots (check your email). Slot booking is on a first come, first served basis.

- Don't forget to redeem your goodie bag worth RM90 on event day! (Limited to 45 bags each session)

Luxe ticket (single activity): RM65 for IBU member (RM130 for non-member)

Premium ticket (single activity): RM40 for IBU member (RM80 for non-member)
