Cooking Class: Let's Make Dumplings!

Come and learn how to prepare and cook traditional Shandong dumplings🥟...from scratch! Remember that scene from the movie 'Crazy Rich Asians' where the whole family gets together to make dumplings by hand? Dumpling-making is a tradition for many Chinese families. It represents the values in Chinese culture of working and staying together. They also signify hope and prosperity. Time to put your chef hats on, bring your kids and make dumplings!

This event will be held in the Angel Community Cafe, a 120-year old heritage building in George Town. You will learn how to prepare and cook traditional Shandong dumplings...from scratch! So it might get a little messy, but it's all in good fun and great hands-on learning experience for the children.

Fee:

RM40/1child&1adult for IBU members (RM45 for non members). This is a parent-accompanied event for 3 year olds and above only. 7 years olds and above are welcomed to join on their own.

Event notes:

- All ingredients are provided and are pork-free (include: wheat flour, chicken, soya sauce and vegetables).   

- When you purchase a ticket, it is for one child and one parent.

- Please bring: A rolling pin

- The nearest parking area is at New World Park Food Court.
